Wandering with my friend Jos, we eventually arrived in Biel, Switzerland. Before us lay Lake Biel, calm and strikingly beautiful. Although the cold was biting, we found warmth and shelter in a simple youth hostel attached to a brewery known for its many local beers. In the cozy bar, even a small statue was given a special place.
